How Accident History Impacts the Value of Used Cars in the UAE?

Understanding the accident history of a used car is crucial for buyers and sellers in the UAE, as it significantly impacts the vehicle's value and performance. iCarsU.com provides essential tips and a checklist to aid in evaluating a car's past effectively. Before viewing a car, it's important to inquire about its ownership history, demand key documents like the registration card or chassis number, and probe for any accident indications—even minor ones like repainted parts. Online checks using the chassis number can reveal additional details such as auction reports or incomplete records, particularly for accidents outside the UAE or imported vehicles. Physically inspecting the car for inconsistencies in paint, body damage, and proper functioning of all lights and dashboard indicators, including the airbag light, is essential. These steps ensure a transparent transaction and help maintain fairness in the used car market, which is vital for securing a good deal.
